The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the program for individuals who seek to become Catholic. RCIA is a journey of faith formation whereby the participants learn about Catholic Christianity. It is a spiritual journey of forming a relationship with Jesus Christ and his Church.
In RCIA, participants learn about who Catholics are, what Catholics believe, how to pray and how to live as a member of the community of believers. RCIA is a path to conversion. Are you or is someone you know …
- is searching for a relationship with God?
- wants to learn more about the Catholic way of life?
- is a baptized Catholic and want to complete the Sacraments of Initiation – Eucharist and Confirmation?
- is interested in exploring the possibility of becoming a Catholic Christian?
If so, we encourage you or them to learn more about the RCIA program. Do you think you or someone you know are being called to become Catholic? If so, please contact the parish (301-475-8403) or visit the Archdiocese website: http://adw.org/rcia/ for more information regarding the RCIA program.
